
British Canoeing Discover Award (kayaking)

£66.00Following on from the Start Award, the British Canoeing Discover Award allows participants to develop their decision making and practical skills for a fun and safe time on the water, taking them on the next steps towards becoming a proficient and independent paddler. They will learn how to choose and effectively use equipment, whilst developing an understanding of the factors which affect their paddling; them the confidence to progress to making their own choices with the Explore Award.
Dates: 29th, 30th & 31st July (need to attend all three days)
Time Group 1: 9.30am to 12.30pm
Time Group 2: 1pm to 4pm
Meeting point: Beach Road car park, Kingston
Cost: £66 per person (for all three days)
Spaces are limited to EIGHT and available young people aged 8 to 18
We will provide all the necessary equipment (inc wetsuits where appropriate) but please make sure everyone is appropriately dressed in suitable, warm clothing, is wearing sturdy footwear and has the following with them:
- Backpack (can be provided)
- Packed lunch
- Water bottle
- Swimwear (water-based activities)
- Towel and change of clothes (if appropriate)
Attendance will be consistent with the advice from the Scottish Government regarding COVID-19 Any participants or household members MUST NOT be displaying any known COVID-19 symptoms. Outfit Moray will follow Scottish Government guidelines to ensure the risk of community transmission of COVID-19 is as low as reasonably practical.
