This multi-session GoMTB course is a fantastic opportunity for any young experienced riders (see details below) who want to develop their skills and experience in off-road biking. Over these, and following sessions, participants will be working towards level GoMTB level 3 and will be learning the skills required for:
- Manual wheel lifts
- Power assisted front wheel lift
- Rear wheel lift
- Power assisted drop offs
- Track stands
- Cornering
- Pumping
- Riding a trail of moderate difficulty
Participants need to have passed, or have the minimum skills required to pass GoMTB 2, as follows:
- Good trail riding skills on easy terrain
- Effective use of brakes
- Changing gears smoothly and efficiently on a variety of terrains anticipating gear changes
- Climb easy hills sitting and standing
- Descend easy trails
- Manoeuvre through obstacles

Time: 9.30am to 12.30pm
Please note: further sessions will be required to complete the GoMTB Level 3 course and these will be held in January and February. If this course is too advanced, we are also running a GoMTB Level 2 Award course at the same time, date and place.
Meeting point: Winding Walks Car Park, Fochabers
Cost: £40 per person (for both sessions)
Spaces are limited to SIX and available young people aged 8+
We will provide all the necessary equipment but please make sure the participants are appropriately dressed in suitable, warm clothing, is wearing appropriate footwear for riding a bike and has the following with them:
- Backpack (can be provided)
- Packed lunch
- Water bottle
Attendance will be consistent with the advice from the Scottish Government regarding COVID-19 Any participants or household members MUST NOT be displaying any known COVID-19 symptoms. Outfit Moray will follow Scottish Government guidelines to ensure the risk of community transmission of COVID-19 is as low as reasonably practical.
