
British Canoeing Start Award (kayaking)

£40.00The British Canoeing Start Award aims to provide participants with the basic knowledge to enable them to safely get in and out of their boat, make it move and return to the start point. This is the participant’s first step into the world of paddling, ensuring they feel safe, confident and ready to progress to the Discover Award.
Dates: 23rd-24th July (have to attend both days)
Time Group 1: 9.30am to 12.30pm
Time Group 2: 1pm to 4pm
Meeting point: Beach Road car park, Kingston
Cost: £40 per person (for both days)
Spaces are limited to EIGHT and available young people aged 8 to 18
We will provide all the necessary equipment (inc wetsuits where appropriate) but please make sure everyone is appropriately dressed in suitable, warm clothing, is wearing sturdy footwear and has the following with them:
- Backpack (can be provided)
- Packed lunch
- Water bottle
- Swimwear (water-based activities)
- Towel and change of clothes (if appropriate)
Attendance will be consistent with the advice from the Scottish Government regarding COVID-19 Any participants or household members MUST NOT be displaying any known COVID-19 symptoms. Outfit Moray will follow Scottish Government guidelines to ensure the risk of community transmission of COVID-19 is as low as reasonably practical.
