Tyrolean and Bushcraft (disability)
8 July :9:30 am - 3:30 pm£25.00
This activity is for young people in Moray aged 8 to 18 years who have a disability which means they are unable, or don’t feel comfortable, to attend our programme of outdoor learning and adventure due to their additional support needs. The young people need to be able to manage stairs with support, and walk distances of up to 2km, and the sessions is available to siblings, who are young carers, to participate alongside.
Tyrolean traverses were first used in the Mountains of the Tyrol Region of Austria to make inaccessible areas more accessible. We have a number of venues across Moray that we use for this activity which challenge teamwork, rope skills and bravery and promise a great day of adventure! After the Tyrolean session, participants will learn how to make a fire using naturally sourced materials and will then cook their own snacks over the campfire.
