Standup paddle boarding (SUP) is an offshoot of surfing that originated in Hawaii. Unlike traditional surfing where the rider sits until a wave comes, stand up paddle boarders stand on their boards and use a paddle to propel themselves through the water, testing the rider's balance and co-ordination skills. Tyrolean traverses were first used in the Mountains of the Tyrol Region of Austria to make inaccessible areas more accessible. We have a number of venues across Moray that we use for this activity which challenge teamwork, rope skills and bravery and promise a great day of adventure! This activity is for young people in Moray aged 8 to 14 years who have a disability which has meant they haven’t had the opportunity to participate in outdoor learning and adventure due to complex access requirements.
